Ex-scholarship holder in opposition? No big deal

Ex-scholarship holder in opposition? No big deal

Ex-scholarship holder in opposition? No big deal

I REFER to the report on a former government scholarship holder joining an opposition party ('Ex-Admin Service officer joins Reform', Jan 20).

While some have hailed this as a significant plus for the opposition, I view it as a non-event.

First, many talented graduates have joined the ranks of the opposition in recent years, but many of them have opted to keep out of the spotlight, preferring to build a credible profile first. For example, Workers' Party secretary-general and Member of Parliament for Hougang, Mr Low Thia Khiang, mentioned recently that his party has been recruiting new members, many of whom are probably academically well qualified.

Second, I agree with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's assessment that we should not judge political candidates based on their paper credentials, but on what they can do for society. Using Mr Lee's yardstick, I judge many opposition candidates favourably as they provide an alternative voice for the people, regardless of their qualifications. In fact, good grades are irrelevant to being a good politician, as the work of serving the community requires the heart more than the head.

It is time we look past superficial measures of success like academic credentials, and pay more attention to an individual's track record at work and in community service, which are more accurate indicators of his calibre.

SDP clan's GABRA dinner

it's moni moni cum again. last year was bony bitches wearing cockconut shells and ruffia skins. there wasn't a slightest meat to flaunt.

this year, it's GABRA DINNER. they must be taking a lead from the recent RENCI CHARITY SHOW. maybe they would hit 8 M and save their butts from the many charges lining up with the local magistrate court. 8M in ruppiahs maybe.

this time participants must go in smart business casual, i.e, no RED T-SHIRTS, not hot pants, no revealing low cuts and definitely no push up wonder bra. LOL!!

IT IS a tale of three Eric Hows ¨C and a Facebook post.

The first ¡®Eric How¡¯, real identity unknown, first made waves on the social networking website on Jan 1 with an inflammatory diatribe posted on the Facebook page of the Young PAP (YP), the People¡¯s Action Party¡¯s youth wing.

Claiming to be a member of the YP, he said critics of the ruling party should blame their woes not on the party, but on their own misfortune not to be born into a rich family, like him.

In the ensuing cyber uproar which continues until today, two real-life Eric Hows were dragged into the fray. Both have lodged separate police reports on the incident.

The YP issued a statement yesterday condemning the posts by ¡®Eric How¡¯, saying they lacked empathy and did not represent ¡®what YP stands for¡¯.

The first inflammatory post by ¡®Eric How¡¯, made on New Year¡¯s Day, said: ¡®My folks did the right thing¡ and we will never need to nag the Government about giving jobs to foreigners instead of locals. In fact, we create jobs for others.¡¯

¡®Our folks even make sure we guys do not need to squeeze into public transport by getting each of us a personal car,¡¯ continued ¡®Eric How¡¯.

In a second missive on Jan 19, he taunted: ¡®BTW I am changing my car again and so what?¡¯

The reaction from other Facebook users was swift. Forum posters were infuriated by the elitism his comments displayed. Said a poster named Clement: ¡®I was until very, very recently a staunch PAP supporter. Now, with young people like Eric¡ If senior PAP members are reading this, please tidy up your home.¡¯

Meanwhile, two flesh-and-blood Eric Hows with Facebook accounts were caught in the crossfire.

One of them is the nephew of a grassroots leader in Kampong Kembangan.

Netizens, assuming he was behind the ¡®Eric How¡¯ posts on the YP network, delved into his background and posted his pictures and personal information online.

They also said his father was Mr How Jong Wan, vice-chairman of the Kampong Kembangan Community Club Management Committee and the managing director of a marine supply business. Mr How is actually Eric¡¯s uncle.

One netizen, ¡®Kojak Bt¡¯, sent an e-mail to the elder Mr How, asking him to ¡®discipline¡¯ his son.

Mr How Jong Wan told The Straits Times yesterday that this e-mail was how his family came to know about the ¡®Eric How¡¯ posts.

¡®This concerns me and my reputation,¡¯ said the incensed Mr How. He lodged a police report with his nephew on Jan 6.

His nephew Eric, 33, told The Straits Times he is not a YP member. Still, he became a target of netizens¡¯ wrath because of his prominent uncle. Pictures of him engaged in ¡®elitist¡¯ activities, like one of him leading a horse at the Bukit Timah Saddle Club, added to netizens¡¯ ire.

The second Eric How, a 33-year-old salesman, is a YP member, but an ¡®inactive one¡¯, he said.

Although he has not received much attention from netizens, YP members themselves thought the comments were his at first.

He said he first came to know of the incident when a friend told him that a screenshot of his Facebook profile was being used on the Temasek Review political commentary website in a report about the ¡®Eric How¡¯ posts. That screenshot has since been taken down.

He lodged a police report on Wednesday after receiving a phone call from YP chairman and Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC MP Teo Ser Luck, who wanted to speak to him about the ¡®Eric How¡¯ posts.

That was when he realised the seriousness of the situation, he said.

¡®I come from a very humble background,¡¯ he said yesterday, displaying bewilderment about the situation.

Hong Kah GRC MP Zaqy Mohamad, who is vice-chairman of the YP, told The Straits Times the incident was ¡®unfortunate¡¯. ¡®But this is the reality of the Internet, who can you trust?¡¯

The Eric How fracas is the latest in a string of publicity snafus for the youth wing of the ruling party. A vitriolic online feud has been raging between YP members and anti-PAP netizens ever since the YP banned an outspoken 22-year-old, Mr Alex Tan, from its Facebook page in November last year.

Mr Zaqy said the YP would attempt to ¡®better prepare¡¯ its activists for engagement online.

¡®We have to prepare them for politics, online or in the real world.¡¯ ¨C Straits Times

EDITORS¡¯ NOTE:

We have never posted the screenshot of Mr Eric How¡¯s Facebook and linked him to the comments. The only screenshot we ever posted from then till yesterday is a screenshot of the YPAP Facebook of ¡°Eric How¡± making the comments. Hope that clarifies.

the martial arts in local politics has never gotten so excitingly interesting and intruging until the appearances of 3 ERIC HOWS. now how huh? how leh?

in the martial arts world of local politics, the silent are the strong; the boisterous are the coward and probably the losers. those who rant the loudest in public are the biggest losers in the making.:

A Nice Begining

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Sam,

When you first announce this new forum, I was many hours late to register LaMei nick, and LaMei was already registered by someone else.. Even my name JaslynGo, GoHuiLeng in whatever combination were also taken.

NgEjay and TiLik (in whatever combination) was also registered.

Today I saw the posting by ptader that his nick too was registered by someone other than himself and shortly you responded by asking him to quickly go register his ptader nick as you have reopen the nick to him.

I decided to try and was pleasantly surprise that I too can register back my LaMei nick. Same goes for NgEjay and TiLik..

Thank you for making the effort to let us keep our nicks from your the other forum, though our nick was no big deal, but the effort some people go through to 'chop' all our nicks is rather malicious and with the clear intention to impersonate us.

I applaud you for taking the initiative to de-registered the nicks and allow the genuine ones to register back their respective nicks.

This will keep impersonators with the malicious intention at bay...

This in my view is a good start to your new forum.

Thank you Sam and congrats on your new forum..

My well wishes to your new forum, hope you are able to achieve greater success than SBF..

LaMei

lamei had proclaimed that "she doesn't post in sbf forums or any other besides those linked only to SDP...."

who then is the posing and posting in her name? ngejay is also making such claims. but a quick check in 3in1 shows that he was there in dec 2009. lamei and ngejay might not be posting in their ORIGINAL nics but nobody can tell when they put on their nasty clones' disguises and do the spams.

my entire thread of the same name has been unceremoniously OBLITERATED from sbf kopitiam. scroobal is the despicable culprit behind it. one who is so prejudiced and jealous cock being made a "moderator" must be the greatest joke for a forum to claim they are for FREE SPEECHES.

this was the sbf thread that was DELETED suddenly:

how credible are their words? the original scrobal (one 'o') was also probably banned by combined effort of ngejay/lamei along with many others who probably up till now still didn't know how they were hit and then banned.

Ng E-Jay screws Screwball!

I have been impersonated on Sammyboy Alfresco forum again

Announcement from the Editor
06 Jan 2010

I have been impersonated on Sammyboy Alfresco forum again.

At least two monikers have used my photograph in their avatar and fraudulently made posts in my name.

I have observed their postings are very crude, vulgar, and if I may add, highly defamatory in nature.

There is even one moniker who tried to parody my website name, Sgpolitics.net, by registering the nick “AssGeePolyTicksDotCom”.

I regard these actions are intimidation, harassment, and criminal defamation.

I have not lodged a complaint for two reasons: Firstly the moderator Scroobal had previously posted in the old and new SBF forum that he has very little regard for me and my pals (Lamei and Tilik), and will not entertain any correspondence from us. Secondly, even although he has taken action against imposters in the past, that does not seem to have stopped them. They simply register new nicks and repeat their rabid filth.

Please note that I have not been participating in online forums EXCEPT the SDP website for a few months now, and will not do so henceforth.

Therefore any moniker in an online forum with the exception of the SDP website claiming to be me should be regarded as an imposter.

and this.....

Knight..

any moniker registered with the intent to impersonate us is deem as our detractors..

but any moniker registered to attack LTS/LTB or to voice their negative views about other political parties is always the F4 gang / SDP IB…

and all this coming from the newly appointed Scrobal who openly claimed he has little regards to us when we never cross path with him…expect him to be fair moderator??? you guess is as good as mine Knight..

I stop going to the forum altogether as the way some of them mutually masturbate each other just make me sick..

some points to ponder:
1. it's strange that lamei always appears to back ngejay's words and vice versa.
2. "has very little regard" appears 2 times. it does appear synchronise to match words by words so that least suspicion would be created. but it already has.
3. "i stop going to the forum altogether"....could this be taken seriously?

lamei's claim that she was "least interested in politics" is really contradictory. she's tremendously popular now with SDP but she refuses to be a full fledged sdp member instead brags that she's "partyless". why create such ambiguity that could be really confusing?

well, i do not think they are posting - at least not in their original nicks. that would make bad impression on SDP which they are adhered to now. but in other clones' nics, the possibility is most likely but we never know. no one has the guts to admit to that. if they are honest enough, they don't have to create any extra clones.

Ptrader - an ISD operative fox? how do u guys derive that? by alleging him such might give him an illusive superiority and pride posting in forums.

ISD has better and far more important things to do than to deal with little people entertaining in forums.

Alex Tan

the new kid in the martial arts kungfu politic is none other ALEX TAN who was ungraciously booted out from stating his honest to goodness opinions in the YPAP or in full form: YAYAPAPAYA tit4tat bulletin board.

or in a more standard representation: Young Poo And Pee - a Leegime organisation to counteract opp clans.

there are now so many new young faces hot in the forums squabbling. fortunately, those were just verbal kungfu where one word or a phrase shoot out to create injury to integrity. characters assasination are now plentifully executed. great suspicions, intrigue and mystery are also beginning to sprout.

basically, it all boils down to 2 factions: PAP IB vs SDP IB. partyless trolls and ninja turtles enhance all the funs.

whatever it is, time would tell if ALEX TAN is really the hero the martial arts world of politics is waiting for or the heelo many were skeptical about.

Cat Lim: PAPee is Feeling Very Insecure

GENERAL ELECTION
Surprised by 'cooling off' idea

MY REACTION to the recent announcement of the 'cooling off' period of 24 hours before Polling Day ('24 hours to cool off before Polling Day', Dec 1), was of great surprise, followed by a single thought: 'Why, the People's Action Party (PAP) must be feeling very insecure.'
My analysis of the situation went something like this:

The decision must have been driven by self-interest.

It meant that the PAP is convinced the new ruling will give it an advantage at the polls, that is, more Singaporeans would vote for the PAP than if there were no ruling.

Since 'cooling off' can only refer to emotions, there must be a PAP fear that the wildly enthusiastic display of emotions by the large crowds at opposition rallies in past general elections is likely to be exploited by the opposition in this coming one. It will build up to a climax towards the end, affecting the voting pattern, and hence, must be prevented.

The emotional approach, though it has its uses, is completely alien - and contemptible - to the pragmatic, no-nonsense PAP leadership that has always prided itself on its rational approach, solidly backed by charts and figures showing its many achievements, and by constant reminders of the good life made possible by strong, efficient leadership.

Despite its distrust of emotions, the PAP realises that in the coming General Election, emotions could actually become the rogue factor in the political equation.
For, the electorate will include a large number of new, young voters who belong to the noisy, rumbustious world of the Internet, where emotions rather than cool reason prevail. The opposition is sure to make opportunistic use of this new force.

Since the PAP could never adopt the 'If you can't beat them, join them' strategy of using the same emotional approach, the only way is to reduce its impact especially at the point where it is expected to be maximal, that is, just before Polling Day itself. Hence the 24-hour clampdown.
I was surprised that a shrewd leadership like the PAP could come up with a ruling that first, is of doubtful value and could even backfire; second, exposes an anxiety that could provide political fodder for the opposition, and third, exposes an insecurity that must make even its supporters wonder about how strong, after more than four decades of leadership, the bond between the Government and the people really is.

chicken rice oldman & pradaman

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

it had to begin with old lau heelos in peesailand.

so begins our story.....

oldman was a goodie 2 shoes before he arose to power to become the grand overlord ruling peesailand for 4 decades. his humble beginning was actually a chicken rice seller.

his hot&cold chicken or pak chum kai was so bloodied popular that he rose bloody fast to acclaim power in the martial arts world in local politics. oldman was a hot-blooded young lawyer all fired up to serve the peasants with his wonderful aromatic chicken rice. it was dirt cheep then at 70c a plate of steaming fragrant pandan-leaved steaming rice with generous chunks of fat plainly boiled juicy tender chick. his chilly was fiery. when he bellowed, everyone one from the low class to the high class respected him in awe and heeded his words. they had to then. oldman got everyone hooked to his chicken rice. they couldn't leave a day without his cheep hawking.

finally after accumulating much weath, the entire peesailand fell under the mercy of oldman.

along the way came this ah neh, a rotund indian who had the penchant to stick to prospective powderful man. the man of that time was none other oldman. ah neh set up stall next to oldman's chicken rice. ah neh's speciality was roti prata. his prata tossing skill was so so. it was usually off the mark when it spinned in the air as ah neh tossed it. spinning air-borne prata usually either landed on oldman's face when he looked up or on prata's head when he bashfully looked down.

when old man's business flourished into an empire called the LEEgime, so did prataman ah neh. he absorbed some of the glory since he was that close to oldman. sometime, when u observed ah neh carefully, u could even notice the "shine" that was rubbing onto him with such close proximity to the oily chicken rice seller oldman.

now, the oldman was the supreme ruler. ah neh was made the presidento. oldman had to create many white elephant posts. he got too much taels to distribute to all those who had rubbed off with some of the sleaze and grease from his oily chicken. it made them such eliteful "shiny" glory.

prataman ah neh had since also upgraded his name appropriately to PRADAMAN. prata was 50c then. PRADA would be a 4-figure$ now. but both pradaman ah and oldman neh were worth million$.

but peasants being the lower mortals could do nothing. the chicken rice now had shrunken. they still got the rice though not as oomp! or fragrant as it used to be. they still got the chicken but no longer the fat and juicy tender. infact, one would consider lucky if he could get some tough meat. usually, it was more chicken bone than meat.

while prata had become PRADA, chicken rice now was more like chicken lice. chicken rice fattened peasants. chicken lice sucked the peasants really dry! it was more chicken bones than meat. well, life went on. peasant couldn't starve if still served with plain chicken rice but many had dropped dead when they were choked with chicken bone from the chicken lice!

martials arts in local politics abruptly DELETED in sbf!

12 jan 2010.

after putting scroobal as the stand-in moderator, MARTIAL ARTS thread in sammyboy kopitiam was abruptly obliterated. the last count it hits 72,800 + viewership.

it's sheer bewilderment why a thread with so many hits would be unceremoniously being taken off. what could the reason be? that is suppose to be a FREE SPEECH forum but it's like a deja vu to the destruction of UPHEAVAL OF LEETAHSAR in the old sbf kopitiam.

human nature is just too petty and anal retentive. usually if i dislike to read certain thread or certain postings usually spammings from nasty clones, i just click the IGNORE button. it's strange that parasitising nasty clones are spared when they spammed non stop while comical bo liao couldn't be tolerated in a FREE SPEECH forum.

perhaps the moderator is himself a biased or jealous loser who cannot tolerate other's nonsensical postings greatly surpassing his own boring threads and postings. if such is a case, then he shouldn't have been put up as a "moderator".

making a notorious netizen whose postings evoked much mixed emotion, sentiments and extreme responses is such a X-factor feat not many could achieve. anyway, the martial arts showdown in local politics are far from over.

PART 2 would be up soon. so stay tuned! :)

GIC lost on NY property
By Robin Chan

GIC had confirmed to The Straits Times that it 'recognised the losses' on its investment last year in Manhattan's Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village (above), two enormous housing apartment blocks bought for US$5.4 billion. -- PHOTO: AFP

THE Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) has confirmed that it incurred losses from an investment in a prime New York property project after the American owners defaulted on a debt payment at the weekend.

GIC is believed to have written off over US$575 million (S$798 million) and it confirmed to The Straits Times that it 'recognised the losses' on its investment last year in Manhattan's Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village, two enormous housing apartment blocks bought for US$5.4 billion.

GIC did not reveal the exact losses it incurred.

The owners, a venture led by Tishman Speyer Properties and a unit of BlackRock, missed a bond payment on debt amounting to some US$16 million on Jan 8 to its lenders, who have begun their default process.

The Straits Times understands that GIC has written off the losses, which reports have estimated to be around US$575 million in debt and US$100 million to US$200 million in equity.

Real estate investments made up 12 per cent of GIC's asset mix as of its last report for the year ended 31 March 2009.

there are definitely more KOSONG KOSONGS but GOV I C could be trying their most endeavour efforts to cover up. sometime ignorant is a blessing. if peasants get wind of it, our pockets sure would be hit kosong. wow!! san chai..san chai....

3-stooges heading for the big longkang

as usual, none of the 3 stooges would wanna pay any fines. they preferred checking into the holiday resorts for a week or so. it was pre-emptive. if they were to pay the fine instead of checking in, it would mean to enrich the magistrate with more of their hard-earned taels. doing the jailhouse rock would depict them as "patriots in the highest level" and definitely attract media attention. disappointingly, the peesailand official shit times didn't print this.

SDP clan's whatever endeavour and action belied strongly of an intention that was very obivous to peesailanders. would any peasants bother? it had become so frequent that it would strange this sort of clowning didn't occur in peasants' staple.

one later after their temporary recluse, those bunch of stooges and clowns would be back again to publicly entertain every peasants.

applause or boos, let's give it to them.

Chee Siok Chin begins jail term
Tuesday, 05 January 2010
Singapore Democrats

Ms Chee Siok Chin began serving her one-week jail sentence yesterday after District Judge Chng Lye Beng had found her guilty together with Mr Gandhi Ambalam and Dr Chee Soon Juan for distributing flyers without a permit.

A permit was required because, one, 5 or more persons were involved and, two, the police insist, the flyer was demonstrating "opposition to the actions of the Government."

The Deputy Public Prosecutor had during the hearing emphasized that it was not the distribution of the flyers per se that was illegal but the content of the flyer which was critical of the policies of the Government was also illegal.

The police witnesses had testified during the trial that distibuting flyers was a common and normal activity. They could not say what offence the Defendants had committed. One even said that in his opinion, the SDP leaders were not committing an offence.

Furthermore, the licensing officer testified that distributing flyers for a commercial cause did not require a permit whereas one was needed if the cause was political. This, of course, is not true because the law (Miscellaneous Offences Act) does not make such a provision.

The Defendants also argued that the fact that the flyer criticised the Government was irrelevant to the charge.

Despite all these, Judge Chng sided with Prosecution and convicted Ms Chee, Mr Ambalam, and Dr Chee, sentencing them to the maximum fine of $1000, or one-week jail in default. (See here)

The three have appealed the conviction. Ms Chee has chosen to serve her sentence first but will continue with her appeal because it is important that the High Court renders its decision and grounds if it upholds the conviction.

Even as she begins serving her sentence, Ms Chee will be brought to court daily for the on-going hearing before District Judge Toh Yung Cheong for a separate charge for "attempting to take part in a procession" during the WB-IMF meeting in 2006.

Immediately after Mr Chng made his decision on 18 Dec 09, Ms Chee stood up and told him:

"I continue to say that what we did was not a crime. Criticising one's government is a right guaranteed in a democratic society. By finding us guilty you are as good as saying that we do not have this right. By pronouncing us guilty you are also saying that Singapore is not a democratic society and that this government is an undemocratic one."

BryanT - Why oh why! Tue 05 Jan 2010 1:10 PM The article states that CSC has chosen to serve her sentence first but will continue with her appeal. I'll assume that she has voluntarily decided to do so, despite there being no legal requirement, as the appeal is still pending.

This then begs the question : what is the purpose of this decision? The article is deliberately silent on this. A rat is smelled.

I'll admit to being the skeptic when it crossed my mind initially that she is doing so to “increase” her street-cred, of having been jailed for her beliefs and perceived rights. Since she has been jailed previously, we can discount this.

Another possibility is that she has sacrificed herself (selflessly, but at last, fruitlessly) simply to draw publicity and attention to the case. This is not something unexpected, coming from a party that craves attention (usually for the wrong reasons).

I suppose SDP (less CSC) will next be scanning the newspapers and watching TV news assiduously to see whether the intended effect has been achieved. Otherwise, it can (gleefully)(again) make the same accusation that its activities (and selfless sacrifices) are ignored by the MSM.

rats lover JJ posted his comment. surprisingly, he's using his real name this time. so he admitted that he has PAP clan pals: "my friends from the PAP, from People's Association". JJ appeared to be everywhere in all other opposition clan. before that he was in RP and was bombing WP clan relentlessly in other nics of course.

now it was refreshing to realise he also has "my friends from the PAP, from People's Association". wow! real slithery and slippery!

ngejay - To Bryan T Wed 06 Jan 2010 1:24 AM Normally I refrain from replying to such postings, but this time a woman has gone to jail because of her beliefs and values and you are trashing her when she is not here to defend herself.

Please do know, Bryan T, that reading your postings is mentally draining for me, because even my friends from the PAP, from People's Association, when they defend their ruling masters to me, they at least try to make sense and appear reasonable. You on the other hand seem to have an agenda to twist logic and reason to serve your message not matter how ridiculous it comes out.

That CSC is serving time in prison for a political cause should be of grave concern, because it reflects the kind of system the PAP has created -- an undemocratic, unprincipled and self-serving system. You are deliberately silent on this aspect of the issue. Likewise, a rat is smelled.

and BRYANT T crossed sword with JJ. of course B T was at the losing end. he was surrounded by SDP clan's zombied imbeciles who could never differentiate truth from lies. had JJ diverted his lovelorn horniness toward chinchin instead of lamui. both were flat. both were under-nourished. both were JJ's favorite chai or dishes.

NEA sent close to 30 notices to Town Councils last year
By Claire Huang, 938LIVE | Posted: 09 January 2010 1717 hrs

SINGAPORE: The National Environment Agency (NEA)sent close to 30 notices to Town Councils to get them to clean up their own backyard in 2009.

NEA said Town Councils receive notices when they breach Control of Vectors and Pesticides Act.

Getting rid of pests takes more than a trap but the NEA is determined to tackle the vector problems.

Andrew Tan, chief executive officer, NEA, said: "We had in recent years launched a rat attack programme and that's something we may have to revisit to keep the rat population under control."

i think all the rats come from the big mama RAT from abc market. it's a trolling skinny malnourished rat. after years of desperation, has finally transformed into human form notoriously blessed with the power of FLIRT&DESTROY - seek, seduce, flirt and when targeted victim outlives his usefulness, DESTROY.

phd scholar, half-baked lawyer, ranting cheebye and chinchin lesbian, hairy indians, blurcock yaya matyoyos and desperado bitches and almost anyone u could think of is not spared from F&D. if there is a tinge of usefulness in anyone who could be exploited or instigated to do the RAT's hidden agenda to achieve the hidden motive, that one wouldn't be spared.

the end results is almost always there same. the RAT leads everyone it F&D into the big longkang where ranting cheebye is usually waiting there for them to join him.

stay tuned for the next ZODIAC STORY of the RAT, THE SNAKE AND THE DUMB OX.

master chee, his special recording gadget and YAYAPAPAYAISM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RATS!!

the chief magistrate had missed milking more gold taels from master chee during one of the exciting court proceeding: CHEE VS LEE.

bo bian, they added this new law ....just in case another LEE VS CHEE appeared.

the last secret recordings by master chee using his special gadget when ah juan and chin chin, his bull-dogged faced sister, duelled with oldman and son in court were broadcasted widely in YOUTUBE and their clan's inhouse TIT&TAT website. (the LEEgime must have learned about it by now or else there wouldn't be such a new proposal.)

master chee was really superb to have discovered that loophole. when such confidential court proceedings were secretly taped, the illegality wasn't yet set or carved out in stone. presumably, ah juan would be left untouched for this mavellous but devious kungfu stunt.

the famiLEE must be reeling in the heat and fuming anguishly for being treated so ungraciously. ah juan and chin chin sure had their field days then. but for how long could such arrogance, disrespect and foolish yayapapayaism virulent in SDP CLAN last?

more and more peasants were pissed. but then again, yayapapayaism was also a terrible mannerism that was affecting the sddpies disciples. that was their characteristic trademark. sooner or later, one would be able to differentiate who was a sddpy amongst the opp poliitical kungfu clans. the sdppy disciple would soon have a PAPAYA mark on the forehead not to be mistaken about papayaless on the bosom. papayaless bosoms could most probably be sdppy bitches but u cannot sink a whole sampan of people by a sweep of the bamboo pole.

confusing? very! let's try it again. rephrasing: most political kungfu bitches from sdp clan were papayaless bosom but not all papayaless came from there. this could only be differentiated by the mark of the PAPAYA which is only unique to sdp trolls and bitches.

chee ah juan's new age CHEEISM had since branched off a NEW sub-tribe called YAYAPAPAYAISM. scary!! more mischiefs. more secret darts duped with slow painful poisons. more sinister secret gadgetries.....and definitely more laughter next round if they were to perform another public clowning entertainment.

be sure to look out for the next CHEE'S FESTIVAL OF PUBLIC CLOWNING ARTS. chope ur reservation now. it's free and it's definitely amusing!!

New contempt of court charges
By K. C. Vijayan LAW CORRRESPONDENT

UNAUTHORISED audio recordings of court proceedings are now liable to lead to contempt of court charges in new rules that kicked in in the new year.

The changes embodied in the gazetted Rules of Court 2009 also provide the courts with more power to act against anyone who obtains an unauthorised copy of a court transcript.

The move is among several rule changes approved by an 11-member Rules Committee, headed by Chief Justice Chan Sek Keong and includes Attorney-General Walter Woon and Judge of Appeal V. K. Rajah.

It comes following a recommendation from a report presented by a group reviewing the rules last year, which suggested taking action against those who reproduce court audio-recordings without approval.

Prior to the changes, those who applied for transcripts of the official court hearings had to seek approval and vouch not to reproduce or transmit it in any form or on any audio record supplied.

But the Supreme Court Registry found enforcement of the previous system difficult as the obligation was 'a mere contractual one,' according to the report.

Read the full report in Thursday's edition of The Straits Times.

turmoils in WP CLAN

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

indian kungfu master james suddenly resigned fr WP CLAN. so where would james be bonding to? james bond to what clan? DOUBLE 0 SEVEN? SDP? NO!!! RP? YEAH!! SDA? double yeah!! if it's SDP, gosh! then F&D deadly seduction skill must have reached a new greater height. F&D could win the lust but never the integrity. if ugly bitch could easily execute such unorthodox mesmerising skill on horny kungfu exponent, then their credibility would be really dubious.

Breaking News: James Gomez Quits From The Workers' Party

Opposition candidate for Aljunied GRC James Gomez quits Workers' Party
By S Ramesh, Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 05 January 2010 2107 hrs

SINGAPORE: An opposition candidate, who caused a stir with his application forms at the Election Department during the last General Election in 2006, has quit the Workers' Party (WP).

James Gomez, who stood on the WP ticket in the Aljunied GRC team, announced on Tuesday his decision not to renew his Workers' Party membership, which lapsed on December 31 last year.

He was speaking at a Speakers' Corner event in memory of the late opposition figure JB Jeyaretnam.

Mr Gomez was in the spotlight during the previous general election when he claimed he had submitted his form for the minority certificate to the Elections Department.

Investigations and CCTV footage later showed he had not done so. Mr Gomez was then taken to task by leaders of the ruling People's Action Party (PAP).

Among them was First Assistant Secretary General and Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng who, during the 2006 hustings, warned the electorate that Mr Gomez had attempted to create the impression that the Elections Department was at fault.

As Polling Day neared, Mr Gomez admitted he did not file the application, contrary to his earlier claims.

The WP's Secretary General Low Thia Khiang said the incident was merely an unintentional omission and a mistake made as Mr Gomez was busy. Mr Low declared that Mr Gomez was "not trying to be funny", and did not do it on purpose.

The Workers' Party team lost narrowly to the PAP team at the Aljunied GRC polls in 2006.

the real fears of the land

it's definitely not the paps. in fact, the extremist troublemakers are more fearsome and u cannot anticipate what their antics might orchestrate to.

the real fears are neither about actually paps or the troublemakers. it's more of practical daily living matters. things like getting sick and not having enough money to seek treatment. having children and worry they might not make it through the stressful education system. when would one face the prospect of losing his job. or for those who have lost theirs, when would the next job be available to them. when it's available, would the pay be sufficient to provide comfortably for the entire family.....

the young have their fears. the working persons have theirs. the poor fear whether there would be a next meal. the sick fear dying from lack of money to treat their ailment and not really the sickness inflicted. the aged fear they might die alone without being discovered until the stench of their decaying corpse attracts some attention.

there are much anxieties, apprehension and FEARS. some are real; some unfounded.

2010 is a year of venturing into the unknown and unpredictable. the gov tries to re-assure us that growth could be 3 - 5%. that jobs availablity are increasing. that we must re-skill, upskill and multi-skill. now what if we are only singularly skilled? would one face the fate of redundancy. does being multi-skilled enable one to have an increased pay or better pay or just another pay cut or stagnant pay?

gov is putting many in a very disadvantaged position. all their exuberating sermons hide another unexplained FEAR. it sounded more like "if u don't heed our advices or follow our instructions, you shall get it!" Get it?

to overcome all such FEARS, it really depends on how you tune yourself. if you tune into the paps' channel, obviously the FEARs become very real. if you tune into your own inner channel, then all those FEARS seem irrelevant.

human beings are very versatile creatures. we are neither equipped with fangs or sabre tooth to hunt but we are given a very powerful brain to think. if we do not think too much and get ourselves over-stuffed with FEARS, we should remain happy and positive.

the secret to overcome all FEARS is to remain HAPPY, POSITIVE & SELF-SUFFICIENT. fear tells u that u cannot make it. well, that's FEAR. you tell FEAR, "I can make it cos i m human!"

so live 2010 without FEAR. live it with HOPE, HAPPINESS, POSITIVE ATTITUDE & SELF-SUFFICIENT and RELIANCE.

YOU CAN MAKE IT!!

SDP CLAN'S 2009 NONSENSE....and still counting

yep! 2010 is finally here. sdp clan is so bloody proud and yayapapaya about their 2009 public nonsense and clowning that amuse peasants much.

the simple real fact remains: whatever bad that's happening in peesailand, it's a joy to the sdppies. whatever good, it would be a curse to them. messiah chee ah juan could be praying for the tsunami to flood and destroy the land. that would be a dream come true for him.

his anger and hatred against the famiLEE has directly invoked also his wish for misfortune for all the peesailanders.

luckily, heaven blesses peesailand. chee ah juan's wish shall never come true. he can't even gain control of any small province. the gods must also be laughing at his clowning antics. perhaps, one day they might just make him the official heavenly court jester.

Singapore Democrats

Are you ready? We're going for a ride that will take you through the weeks and months of an eventful 2009, and leave you breathless at the end. So buckle up and here we go.

January

Year '09 started with SDP members being tried for distributing flyers that were critical of the Government. Days later, activists Messrs Seelan Palay and Chong Kai Xiong were arrested for protesting outside the Ministry of Manpower. Of course, foreign workers who did the same thing were ignored.

A PAP MP was set on fire by one of his constituents. The lawmaker was also at the receiving end of an attack by another disgruntled citizen a couple of years back.

The Chief Justice, Attorney-General, and Law Minister claimed during the opening of the Legal Year that Singapore abided by the rule of law. Dr Chee Soon Juan fired back and rubbished their propaganda. Right on cue another trial commenced involving the 5 SDP leaders and activists for conducting a walk down Orchard Road in 2007.

February

Budget time. The Democrats proposed a 5-point alternative program, parts of which were later echoed by a couple of PAP MPs. The idea of giving out spending vouchers was even put into practice by CapitaLand.

The SDP organised a forum (the second one in two years), calling on opposition parties to work in closer cooperation.

Temasek Holdings announced that it had lost 30 percent, or S$58 billion, of its portfolio part of which went to Merrill Lynch who then paid out US$250 million in bonuses to its top executives just before it went bankrupt. Dr Chee summarised the sorry state of affairs and emphasized that Mr Lee Kuan Yew must be held acountable for the fiasco.

Police revealed during the WB-IMF trial that "all ground forces" were deployed to stop the protest for free speech at Hong Lim Park. That same day, a murder took place just a few hundred metres away.

The state media re-interviewed Mr Chiam on his departure from SDP. The Democrats wrote to Mr Chiam who called on Today to stop publication of his interview.

Young Democrat Jufri Salim courageously chose to go to prison for eight days rather than pay the fine for his part in the TBT protest.

March

The Wall Street Journal was convicted for contempt of court for publishing a letter from Dr Chee.

SDP and friends held a retreat in March to discuss plans for the future and to strategise for the anticipated GE as the banned One Nation Under Lee hit 40,000 views on YouTube.

A few days later, Malaysian authorities announced the re-capture of Mr Mas Selamat to the embarassment (but relief) of the PAP.

SDP continued to call for unity to fight the PAP regime with Ms Chee Siok Chin urging civil society to work with the opposition to advance democracy.

Activists marked the 22nd anniversary of the infamous 1987 "Marxist" arrests. The gay community celebrated pinkdot.com and our disabled community called for more subsidies.

The Government announced plans to increase the number of NCMP seats. The Democrats countered by calling on the PAP to stop the wayang and make the election system free and fair. In Parliament, PAP MPs called on the Government to pay more attention to SMEs than MNCs, echoing what the SDP has been saying for years.

Mr Chia Ti Lik told the court that “I have to stand up against the law that violates the principles of democracy and freedom” even as he pleaded guilty to the TBT charge because of work commitment.

June

June saw the passing away of counselor and activist, Anthony Yeo, a dear friend of the SDP. Mr Seelan Palay was called up for police investigations for One Nation Under Lee.

Judge Toh Yung Cheong issued a warrant of arrest for Dr Chee for attending his father-in-law's funeral in Taiwan, only to rescind it after some deliberation.

July

The Democrats spell out what it means to be a credible and effective opposition to counter the PAP's effort to shape the opposition to its own advantage. The party emphasized the need for a resolute and unyielding leadership under the PAP onslaught.

Ms Ho Ching dropped a bombshell by reversing an early decision to stand down as Temasek's CEO.

A district judge dismissed a complaint that the police abused its powers during the ASEAN meeting in 2008 by detaining Ms Chee Siok Chin and Mr John Tan, albeit briefly, while the police installed surveillance cameras at Speakers' Corner.

Dr Chee explained why the SDP was expanding at its party conference despite concerted attacks by the PAP. The party also elected a new slate of CEC members.

September

Judge Thian Yee Sze fined Dr Chee $10,000 for two counts of speaking in public while the Government belatedly lifted the ban on Singapore Rebel - after it reached nearly a quarter of a million views on YouTube and Google. Mr Seelan continued to challenge the Films Act by submitting an interview with Mr Francis Seow for rating.

Followed by SDP leaders' visits to several university campuses to reach out to students, NTU's administration censored the news of SDP's visit to its campus. Subsequently, NTU students protested its censorship at Speakers Corner.

The party started a series of video messages for the major religious holidays starting with Hari Raya which was delivered by Mr Jufrie Mahmood.

Singapore was accused of stashing hotmoney from Myanmar. HDB resale prices up shot up by 38% with permanent residents making 40% of the purchasers. The Singapore population reached 5 million with 38% of it made up of non-Singaporeans.

October

District Judge John Ng acquitted SDP activists which cause a bit of a stir on the Internet. AGC has appealed the decision.

Democrats weighed in on Fajar wetmarket issue in Bukit Panjang, supporting residents and stallholders in the constituency. The party applied for a permit to speak to BP residents but the police rejected it. We also wrote to Sheng Siong for a meeting but the company declined the invitation.

Democrat N Gogilavani delivered the party's Deepavali message while the party chalked up another first by launching the Let's Talk series.

Judge Ch'ng convicted the SDP leaders for distributing flyers criticising the Government while Dr Chee slammed the Minister Mentor for saying that Singaporeans are to be blamed if they cannot cope with the influx of foreign workers.

What a year. Told you it'll leave you breathless. If you think this was meaningful, wait till you see what's in store for 2010. Stick around, won't you?

yeah, stick around. sdp clan sure won't stop at anything to entertain the crowd publicly by making themselves a fool. what are clowns for anyway?
